Austin Stensby is from Minot, ND. At a young age, Austin's family moved from Minot to the country. Growing up on a farm in the country helped Austin to facilitate love and respect for nature. He has been working as an Early Childhood Educator for seven years. In 2020, Austin worked for Montessori of Minot, where he first learned about the Montessori Method. In 2021, he obtained his Montessori Diploma in Early Childhood Montessori Education from the North American Montessori Center. In 2022, Austin returned and received his Infant and Toddler Montessori Education Diploma. Austin recently graduated from Minot State University with his Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education. Austin is currently attending the Montana Montessori Teachers Education Institute for his MACTE Diploma in Early Childhood Montessori Education. Austin plans to continue to pursue higher education in the field of Montessori.
In his spare time, Austin enjoys the outdoors and doing various recreational activities, such as photography, marksmanship, cycling, hiking, and bowling.
As a Montessori Guide, Austin's favorite thing about the method is how adaptable and supportive it is of diverse learners. Austin loves to see children flourish and develop into confident and successful lifelong learners.
