Saint Joseph Catholic Montessori School exists to serve the parish of St. Joseph and the community in the Mandan area by running a school for the Lord’s service in the Montessori way. Under the patronage of St. Joseph, inspired by his loving devotion to his family, we provide a richly prepared environment for our students to bear fruit – fruit that will last. Everything we do is ordered through the family, the parents as primary educators in the spirit of our mother, Mary, and her husband Joseph, and their children, blessed gifts created in the image and likeness of God. Through a faithful pursuit of bringing each child to Jesus Christ, we offer an education inspired by the writings and experience of Dr. Maria Montessori. By offering an environment in which sons and daughters can grow in an integration of and development in the spiritual, social, emotional, physical, moral, and intellectual life, we apply the Montessori method through the love of Christ so that our students may remain in Him.

As the oldest Catholic school in Mandan, North Dakota, we humbly carry on the work of those before us. Under the name of St. Joseph, we listen with the ear of our heart and protect nurture God’s children entrusted to us. With the Holy Family as our model, we work with our parents as an extension of their wisdom, love, and care found in Christ and His Church. Never failing to live our faith, stand up for the true, good, and beautiful, and work towards great unity, we run with the light of life as promised us in the loving plan of God our father – so that all may be one in Him.
